ION SELECTIVE ELECTRODES

Elektroda ENa-01 The Ion Selective Electrodes (ISE) are used for measurements of ions with use of a ion meters.
Depending on the ion concentration (activity) in the solution the ion selective electrode changes its potential. The measurement principle is based on the linear dependence of the electrode potential on the logarithm of ion activity in the solution determined by the appropriate formula.
Years ago the ion measurements were made with use of the mV measurement and required preparing a standard curve to determine the concentration and mathematical calculations necessary to obtain results in the required units. The ion meters offered by us automatically make all the necessary conversions and calculations. Due to the fact that very often also the pH measurement is required, to prepare the samples before the ion measurements, this function is also available in our meters.
We offer Ion Selective Electrodes as combination electrodes or as separate measuring and reference electrodes creating a set. The separate reference electrodes are universal and may be used for measurements with different types of measuring electrodes. Its possible to exchange the internal electrolyte in the reference electrodes to prepare them for cooperation with the chosen type of the measuring electrode.
We offer only some basic, most often used, ion selective electrodes. Other types have to be bought from other specialised manufacturers or suppliers.

Sodium electrodes

• measuring half cell
• glass body with round membrane
• measuring range 1 ÷ 6 pNa
• 0 ÷ 80°C, L = 120 mm, Φ = 12 mm
• Requires using the reference electrode (RL-100)
• combination electrode
• three cremic junctions
• replaceable reference electrolyte
• measuring range 1 ÷ 6 pNa
• 0 ÷ 80°C, L = 120 mm, Φ = 12 mm

Electrodes with solid state membranes

All the electrodes with solid state membranes are the measuring half cells and they require using the reference electrode, we recommend the RL-100 electrode.
