CONDUCTIVITY CELL EC-210
EC-210 conductivity cell is recommended for conductivity measurements in water solutions. The cell's construction enables measurements in high-conductivity samples, salines and in majority of chemical compounds. It is not recommended for measurements in liquids with high sediment, oil or grease content and pure water. EC-210 is equipped with two platinum electrodes covered with platinum black, what reduces effect of polarisation, which is frequent in case of samples of high conductivity. Before measurements in such samples it is necessary to calibrate the cell with use of properly chosen standard solution. The error in case of measurements in solutions of high concentration may come to ±10 %, calibration reduces it to ±2 %. The body is made of polycarbonate and cleaning it with nitro solvents, toluene, acetone, ammonia, methanol and NaOH may damage it.
